50 Lakh Farmers by 2027
To reach 50 lakh verified farmers by 2030.
Decentralize India's crop buying and selling to make farming more accessible.
We enable pre-purchase even before harvesting, assisting farmers in transitioning to contractual farming.
We want to save and reduce harvested crop losses in India.
In India, millions of tonnes of harvested crops are currently wasted each year. Our primary research revealed that the main reason for this is that our farmers do not receive the prices they desire and are sometimes unable to sell their products. Because they lack storage space, they must leave all crops out in the open when they visit APMC and wait for buyers to inspect and purchase the crop.
When a farmer visits the market, he has no choice but to sell his crop. Because he transports the entire crop over a long distance in a rented vehicle, and the perishable nature of the produce makes it difficult to store for an extended period of time.
As a result of these issues, thousands of farmers are leaving agriculture to pursue other opportunities. This results in no increase in agricultural land and a massive demand and supply gap not only in India but globally.
We want to strengthen agriculture for future generations. We are motivated by the fact that if we do not solve this problem within the next 2-3 decades, we can expect severe food shortages and farmers abandoning farming.
